Dock

The Town does not issue dock permits. Town FAQ: "Dock permits are issued from your local Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM). If your property is located in the historic district, you must also receive approval from the Historic District Preservation Commission (HDPC) in addition to OCRM approval. You can request approval from HDPC by submitting an application through the OPAL." The Town's page gives the OCRM reference as http://www.scdhec.gov/ocrm. Separately, a "vision corridor" — a vertical cut through a vegetated buffer allowing view and access to wetlands, tidelands and beach systems — requires approval from the Engineering and Development Services Department, (843) 856-3080.

Jim farms seven Mount Pleasant neighborhoods specifically — not “the Charleston area.” That is the whole point of this index: one agent who knows which street floods, which floor plan appraises, and what the last eleven sales actually closed at, because he keeps the record himself.
