Town of Mount Pleasant off-leash area, named on the Town's official Leash Up MTP off-leash list. The dog park sits at the trailhead of Marsh View Trail. TRAIL: Town GIS records the trail as 0.36 miles, 6-8 ft. wide, dirt/asphalt surface, ending at a marsh overlook toward Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms; leashed dogs are allowed on the trail itself. The 57-acre Marsh View property was protected in 2010 and is managed by Mount Pleasant Waterworks (Lowcountry Land Trust record). FEE: none - no admission, permit or registration. HOURS: no posted gate hours found in Town sources. VACCINATION/LICENSE: Town Ordinance 90.54 requires a collar or harness with a rabies tag from a licensed veterinarian for all dogs over six months. REPORTED BUT NOT CONFIRMED IN A TOWN SOURCE (Moultrie News coverage): the dog park is fenced with a separate section for small dogs and large dogs, with benches, drinking water and waste bags supplied.
