Charleston County Parks off-leash dog park inside a 1,015-acre park; roughly 20 miles from Mount Pleasant. SEPARATE FENCED AREAS for large dogs and for small dogs (25 lbs. and under). SURFACE: grass, natural, unimproved. SHADE: shade cloth plus natural shade from large trees. WATER: water fountains inside the dog park, plus the "Splash Paw" spray fountain built for dogs, plus a dog washing area. SEATING: tables and benches. RESTROOMS: restroom facilities at the dog park; CCPRC lists accessible restrooms and water fountains at the dog park. ACCESS: accessible parking and dog park entrance with a paved accessible route to the shade structures, benches and water fountain; the Splash Paw is accessible. ADMISSION IS CHARGED: $2 per person; free for Gold Pass members and children 2 and under; $1.50 per person educational-group rate Mon-Fri. HOURS: January-April 8 a.m.-sunset; May-August 8 a.m.-8 p.m.; September-December 8 a.m.-sunset. MAINTENANCE CLOSURE: the dog park is closed until 10 a.m. on Thursdays.
