City of Isle of Palms off-leash dog area listed on the City Recreation Department's Facilities page as "Bark Park," located on 29th Avenue behind the Recreation Center. FEE: none - no admission, gate fee or registration published. The City publishes no detail on fencing, a separate small-dog area, surface, shade, dog drinking water, restrooms, waste stations, posted hours or acreage. VACCINATION/LICENSE: all dogs that live in or visit the City must be vaccinated against rabies and wear a metal license tag on the collar naming the veterinarian who gave the vaccine, and the owner must have a valid rabies certificate readily available at all times; a free annual dog permit is available from the Isle of Palms Police Department, 30 JC Long Blvd., (843) 886-6522.
