Charleston County Parks nature park in Mount Pleasant - 745 acres with several miles of unpaved trails through woods, meadows, an oak allee and a small lake overlook, plus a map-and-compass Compass Course. NOT an off-leash dog park: CCPRC park rules require pets to be kept on a leash no more than six feet long, cleaned up after and under control at all times, and pets may not be left in vehicles. ADMISSION IS CHARGED: $1 per person; free for Gold Pass members and children 2 and under. HOURS: open daily sunrise to sunset. NO RESTROOMS ON SITE - CCPRC describes it as a rustic nature park and advises bringing water and sun protection. ACCESS: no accessible parking; all trails are natural, unimproved surface.
