Sullivan's Island Dog License — Town Hall

A Town dog license is REQUIRED for every dog on Sullivan's Island streets, private property and beaches — residents, visitors and day-trippers alike. Fees: $25.00 per dog for island residents (verified by SC driver's license), $50.00 for non-residents, plus a $10 handling fee for mail-in applications; $2.00 discount for AKC Canine Good Citizen certified dogs. License is valid through December 31 and is not prorated. Requires a valid driver's license showing current address and a rabies vaccination certificate from a licensed veterinarian that is not within two weeks of expiring. BEACH DOG HOURS — Summer, May 1 through September 30: off-leash 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.; on-leash 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.; NO DOGS ON THE BEACH 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Winter, October 1 through April 30: off-leash 5:00 a.m. to noon; on-leash noon to 5:00 a.m. Loose dogs are prohibited in the dunes and near turtle nesting areas at all times.
