IOP Beach Wheelchairs — Public Safety Building

Public Safety Building, 30 J.C. Long Boulevard, second floor (Police Department side), Isle of Palms, SC 29451

Free beach wheelchairs from the City. Submit a Beach Wheelchair Rental Form in person on the second floor of the Public Safety Building; staff copy your driver's license and credit card. Available 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and must be returned by 8:00 p.m. the same day. No reservations are taken — first come, first served. If a chair is not returned the City charges a $3,000 replacement cost to the card on file. Questions: Police non-emergency 843-886-6522. Isle of Palms County Park separately offers beach wheelchairs for check-out on a first-come basis, and an off-road Waymaker chair by reservation (reservation does not include park admission).
