Beach Reach Shuttle — Mount Pleasant Towne Centre to Isle of Palms

CARTA limited-stop shuttle that lets Mount Pleasant residents skip Connector parking entirely. FARE-FREE for riders, funded by the Town of Mount Pleasant and the City of Isle of Palms. Seasonal: operates from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, WEEKENDS ONLY, plus Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day (holidays run a Sunday schedule). Roughly hourly — Saturday first trip about 9:15 a.m. with the last trip from the beach at 5:30 p.m.; Sunday first trip about 9:40 a.m. with the last trip from the beach at 5:55 p.m. Heavy traffic can move the schedule; track it with the TRANSIT app. Picks up at Towne Centre stop ID #715 on Market Center Blvd, runs direct to the IOP stop on Ocean Blvd, and returns. Towne Centre partnered with CARTA for rider parking near the stop, with general Towne Centre parking as overflow. Easy transfer from CARTA Rt. 40 and Rt. 42 at the same stop. RULES: drinks must be in spill-proof containers, no alcohol, up to four shopping-sized bags, everything loaded in a single trip; chairs, small umbrellas, boogie boards and coolers allowed if held or stowed under the seat and never blocking the aisle; NO tents, large beach umbrellas or surfboards; shoes, bottoms and a shirt or cover-up required; bring a towel if you are wet; bikes go on the front rack, not on board.
