Yard debris and large-item trash rules

Websitetompsc.com

Published byTown of Mount Pleasant

The Town collects, as "trash" on the same day as garbage: bagged leaves and grass clippings, which "must be placed in brown paper yard bags — landfills do NOT accept yard debris in plastic bags"; brush and tree limbs "4 feet or shorter not larger than 8 inches in diameter and no stumps"; appliances and metal items; and furniture and other non-recyclable, non-donatable household items. Materials must be kept in separate piles — yard debris in paper bags in one location, furniture/metal/appliances in another. Excluded: "Contractor-generated debris from construction, demolition, remodeling, or landscaping (these materials should be hauled away by your contractor)." The Town publishes no separate bulk-pickup fee and no advance-scheduling requirement for large items on these pages; questions go to Public Services at (843) 849-2022. Verified 2026-09-04.

Jim farms seven Mount Pleasant neighborhoods specifically — not “the Charleston area.” That is the whole point of this index: one agent who knows which street floods, which floor plan appraises, and what the last eleven sales actually closed at, because he keeps the record himself.
