Residential curbside recycling in Mount Pleasant is collected by Charleston County Environmental Management, with collection performed by Republic Services since June 6, 2022 — not by the Town. Collection is every two weeks. "Place recycling at the curb by 7am on your recycling day, or the night before," with the cart at least 3 feet from obstacles and handles facing the house. Residents look up their collection day on the County GIS "Curbside Recycling" map at ChasCoGIS.maps.arcgis.com. Carts are requested or replaced through Environmental Management: phone (843) 720-7111, email Recycle@CharlestonCounty.org, text (843) 800-4121, or live chat. Single stream — accepted: paper, flattened cardboard, plastic bottles and containers, aluminium and steel cans, glass bottles and jars (loose in the cart, lids on). Not accepted: plastic bags, styrofoam, plastic wrap, bulky plastic items, food-contaminated containers, shredded paper, wax paper. The County also operates drop-off sites within the Town. Verified 2026-09-04. Note the county's web domain moved from charlestoncounty.org to charlestoncounty.gov.

Jim farms seven Mount Pleasant neighborhoods specifically — not “the Charleston area.” That is the whole point of this index: one agent who knows which street floods, which floor plan appraises, and what the last eleven sales actually closed at, because he keeps the record himself.
