Phone (843) 849-2022. Collected on the same day as garbage. YARD DEBRIS: bagged leaves and grass clippings "must be placed in brown paper yard bags" — the Town's page states landfills do NOT accept yard debris in plastic bags. TREE LIMBS AND BRUSH: 4 feet or shorter and no larger than 8 inches in diameter; no stumps. BULK: appliances, metal items and furniture are collected. PREPARATION: separate materials into distinct piles by type, and place them "on the road by the curb, not on your lawn," clear of utility boxes, storm drains and water meters. NOT COLLECTED by the Town: electronics/e-waste, hazardous materials, wet paint, tires, batteries, concrete, bricks, contractor and construction debris, and propane tanks — these go to County drop-off sites or a recycling centre. A caution worth passing on: the Town notes that anything set at the curb may be taken, so call (843) 849-2022 to schedule a pickup rather than staging items you intend to keep. The Town also runs residential drop-off for used motor oil (5-gallon limit, residential only) and oyster shells at the Sweetgrass Basket Parkway maintenance facility.
