Member services 1-800-327-9615. Outage reporting 1-855-938-3615. Main office 1732 W. Highway 52, Moncks Corner, SC, (843) 761-8200. Nearest district office to north Mount Pleasant is Awendaw, at the address above. Online account/start service via SmartHub at becsc.smarthub.coop. WHY THIS MATTERS: Dominion is not the only electric provider in Mount Pleasant. Berkeley Electric is "the largest, not-for-profit electric cooperative in South Carolina," serving over 100,000 member-accounts across Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties, and it serves part of the Mount Pleasant area — during the July 2026 north Mount Pleasant / Isle of Palms outage, Dominion reported roughly 17,000 customers out while Berkeley Electric separately reported roughly 7,000 of its own members out in the same event, which is only possible because both serve the area. ACCURACY NOTE: Berkeley Electric's own service-territory page does NOT name Mount Pleasant neighbourhoods, zip codes, or a boundary — it names only the three counties and directs you to "Enter your address in the map's search bar to determine if Berkeley Electric Cooperative is your service provider," with green-shaded areas marking its territory. This brief therefore does not list which specific 29466 subdivisions are co-op-served, because no provider publishes that list. Run the address through the map at berkeleyelectric.coop/service-territory before calling Dominion. Berkeley Electric is a cooperative, so joining involves a membership fee and deposit structure set out in its New Member Handbook; specific amounts are not published on the pages checked — call 1-800-327-9615.
