POTHOLES AND DRAINAGE: the Town's "Report a Concern" request tracker (tompsc.com/requesttracker.aspx, linked from tompsc.com/437/Report-a-Concern) accepts five online categories — Blocked Storm Drain, Illegal Dumping, Low Tree Limbs, Pothole, and Street Sign Missing. By phone, Public Services is (843) 849-2022. The Town notes several entities own and maintain roads in Mount Pleasant — the Town, SCDOT, Charleston County, and private roads — and that reports for roads belonging to another entity are forwarded to that agency; for state-owned roads the Town directs residents to SCDOT's online Maintenance Work Request form. Public Services covers roads, sidewalks, street signs and drainage systems. STREETLIGHTS: the Town's FAQ states "Street lights are owned and maintained by SCE&G. Please contact SCE&G at 1-800-251-7234," and says to have the pole number ready. This is stale on the utility's name — SCE&G was rebranded Dominion Energy South Carolina in 2019; Dominion publishes its own streetlight-reporting page and a lighting line of 800-785-4545, and notes pole numbers appear on the pole in the formats "B1831 RL22" or "ND66."
