Johnson Hagood Stadium opened October 16, 1948 (originally 22,343 seats) and now holds 11,427 after renovations in 2001 (Altman Athletic Center behind the south end zone), 2006 (new chair-back West Side stands), 2008 (West Side tower with luxury suites, club level and press box) and a later East Side remodel; artificial turf. Season: early September through mid-November, roughly six home Saturdays; the corps of cadets marches on before home games, which is the draw for families. Tickets: season tickets, single-game tickets, mini plans, premium seating (Ashley DogHouse, Blue Zone) and group tickets, sold through the athletics site on TicketReturn; donor parking lots and a pre-pay MUSC lot are handled through the same ticket pages. Approximately 7 miles from Mount Pleasant, roughly 15-20 minutes over the Ravenel Bridge.
