NCAA Division I, Coastal Athletic Association (CAA). TD Arena opened in 2008 on the downtown campus and is home to men's and women's basketball and volleyball; capacity 5,100 for basketball. The court is named for former coach John Kresse. The arena also hosts the ESPN Charleston Classic in November. Seasons: volleyball late August through November; basketball early November through early March, with the CAA tournament in March. Tickets are sold through the College of Charleston athletics ticket store, which runs on Paciolan (cofc.evenue.net); mobile ticketing is standard. Approximately 5-6 miles from Mount Pleasant, roughly 15-20 minutes over the Ravenel Bridge; downtown parking garages rather than a stadium lot.
