The Windjammer

Oceanfront beach club and music venue operating since 1972, on Front Beach at Isle of Palms. Three performance areas: an indoor stage, an outdoor beach stage (currently branded the NUTRL Beach Stage), and a deck. Capacity is roughly 550 indoors, with combined indoor/outdoor configurations for larger shows reported in the 550-1,100 range depending on setup. Age policy as posted by the venue: 6pm shows are 21-and-up unless a minor is with a parent; all shows starting 9pm or later are 21-and-up. Live music runs as often as seven nights a week in summer, typically narrowing to Friday and Saturday nights in the off-season. Genres booked: rock, funk and soul, country, jam, cover and beach bands, plus occasional comedy. Full bar and kitchen. Ticketed headline shows are sold in advance; other nights are door cover. Free and paid lot/street parking on Isle of Palms fills fast in beach season. From Mount Pleasant it is about 8-9 miles via the Isle of Palms Connector, roughly 15-20 minutes - no Ravenel Bridge required.
