Indoor seated theater in an 1849-50 former South Carolina Railroad passenger depot, converted to a performance hall in the mid-1990s. Published capacity: 965 in full reserved-seat mode (635 floor / 330 balcony), or 1,198 with a general-admission floor plus reserved balcony (868 floor / 330 balcony). Age policy per venue FAQ: all ages welcome, though individual shows may be posted 18+ or 21+; guests 17 and under must attend with an adult 18+, and children under 2 do not need a ticket. Bags limited to 12x6x12 inches and inspected at entry. Cashless venue - credit/debit only. Box office at the venue, Thursday and Friday 10am-3pm plus two hours before showtime; 843-853-2252. Programming the venue itself lists: rock, alternative, country, blues, Americana, jazz (Charleston Jazz Orchestra is a resident presenter), tribute acts, ballet (South Carolina Ballet) and stand-up comedy. Parking is garage-and-meter only - the venue points to Camden Garage (47 John St, adjacent), Charleston Visitors Center Garage (73 Mary St, one block north) and Marion Square Garage (399 King St, one block south), plus metered street parking. From Mount Pleasant it is roughly 5 miles over the Ravenel Bridge, about 12-20 minutes depending on traffic; upper-peninsula garages are the practical park option.
