Splash Island Waterpark at Palmetto Islands County Park

SEASONALLY CLOSED: Splash Island is closed for the 2026 season, having closed after August 2, 2026; it is scheduled to reopen for the 2027 season. Seasonal outdoor waterpark inside Palmetto Islands County Park, built for toddlers through preteens. Features a 200-foot body flume with a 48-inch minimum height requirement, a 16-foot otter slide with a 30-inch minimum height requirement, an activity pool, splash zones, geysers and waterfalls. ACCESSIBILITY: zero-depth pool entry, accessible parking and an accessible route to the entrance, accessible restrooms, showers and lockers, and a limited number of water wheelchairs free on a first-come, first-served basis (requested at the ticket office; no advance reservations). SHADE: accessible shade structures throughout the facility. Lifeguards on duty during operating season; snack bar, outdoor showers, picnic tables. No dogs. ADMISSION when open: $9.99 general; $8.99 for guests under 48 inches; $6.99 seniors 60+; free for children 2 and under; $8.99 per person for groups of 20 or more; $7.99 after 3 p.m. Monday-Friday excluding Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day. A separate $2 per person Palmetto Islands County Park gate admission is also required. Typical season runs weekends from mid-May, daily from late May, closing in early August. Weather closures earn a one-time re-entry on a future date with a dated receipt, valid the current season only; no refunds.
