Shem Creek Park

Shrimp Boat Lane, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464

Websitetompsc.comMapDirections

NO PLAYGROUND AND NO SPLASH PAD. The town's official facility record lists only ADA-accessible features, fishing, parking, restrooms and a walking trail. The park is a 2,200-foot elevated boardwalk running out over the Shem Creek marsh with access to the working shrimp docks. FENCED: not applicable; the boardwalk has railings but the park is open to the road and the creek. SHADE: essentially none — the boardwalk is fully exposed, which makes it a difficult midday walk with small children in summer. RESTROOMS: public restrooms at the park entrance, near the parking lot; open year-round. PARKING: free, a 35-space lot beside the restrooms plus spillover parking on Shrimp Boat Lane; the lot fills early on weekends. Park hours 5 a.m. to midnight. Stroller- and wheelchair-navigable along the boardwalk. Dog-friendly, with a dog water fountain. Several third-party listings incorrectly credit this park with a playground or splash pad.

Jim farms seven Mount Pleasant neighborhoods specifically — not “the Charleston area.” That is the whole point of this index: one agent who knows which street floods, which floor plan appraises, and what the last eleven sales actually closed at, because he keeps the record himself.
