Phone (843) 744-8683. Email Vote@CharlestonCounty.org. Mailing address P.O. Box 71419, North Charleston, SC 29415. Office hours Mon–Fri 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. County elections site: vote.charlestoncounty.gov. REGISTER online through the state portal at scvotes.gov, which carries both "Register to Vote" and "Update Voter Registration Information" — the second is the one you need if you already voted elsewhere in South Carolina and are only changing address. Check your status at vrems.scvotes.sc.gov. You can also register in person at the County office above or by mail. Charleston County Public Library branches also host voter registration with the County Board (ccpl.org/registertovote), which is convenient in Mount Pleasant. NOTE: neither the County elections page nor the pages checked publish the registration cut-off date or the ID list on the page itself; South Carolina's deadline is commonly stated as 30 days before an election, but because that was not confirmed on the County's or the state's own page during this check, confirm the exact cut-off and accepted ID for the specific election by calling (843) 744-8683 or checking scvotes.gov. Moving into Mount Pleasant from elsewhere in Charleston County still requires an address update, or you will be assigned to your old precinct.
