Piccolo Spoleto Festival

Citywide, Charleston, SC 29401 (produced by the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs)

Websitepiccolospoleto.comTicketsMapDirections

The companion festival to Spoleto USA, produced by the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs and running concurrently since 1979. 2026 dates were May 22-June 7; 2027 dates are not yet posted, and the festival has consistently run the same late-May-into-early-June window alongside Spoleto. Music programming as the festival describes it: symphony, chamber, choral, jazz, gospel and front-porch concerts across the city, plus visual arts, theater, dance and literary events. Venues are spread across Charleston - concert halls, churches, Marion Square, neighborhood parks, and Isle of Palms. The majority of programming is free; a minority of events are individually ticketed at modest prices (recent examples: a dance showcase at $16, a cello concert free with registration). The full calendar and a downloadable PDF schedule are posted on the festival site; ticketing varies by event. Because so much of it is free and outdoors, parking near individual events matters more than a single garage plan. Core venues are 5-6 miles from Mount Pleasant over the Ravenel Bridge.

Jim farms seven Mount Pleasant neighborhoods specifically — not “the Charleston area.” That is the whole point of this index: one agent who knows which street floods, which floor plan appraises, and what the last eleven sales actually closed at, because he keeps the record himself.
