Charleston Jazz Festival

Annual multi-day jazz festival presented by Charleston Jazz, the nonprofit behind the Charleston Jazz Orchestra. 2027 dates are announced on the official site as April 11-18, 2027. The 2026 edition ran in mid-April and its headliners were the Alfredo Rodriguez Trio, Al Di Meola, Danilo Perez with the Charleston Jazz Orchestra, and the Herlin Riley Quartet - the pattern is international headliners paired with Charleston players. Performances are staged at downtown rooms rather than a single festival ground; the Charleston Music Hall and the Charleston Gaillard Center are the recurring main-stage venues, with club and church sets around them. Individual concerts are separately ticketed through the Charleston Jazz box office; there is no single grounds admission. Age policy follows each host venue - generally all-ages seated. Parking follows the host venue too, which downtown means the Camden, Visitors Center, Marion Square or Gaillard garages. Roughly 5 miles from Mount Pleasant over the Ravenel Bridge for the downtown performances.
