The town's own FAQ, "Who do I call to request a street light?", answers: contact Mike Taulbee, Building Inspections Division Deputy Director, at (843) 884-1229 for street lighting requests, or mtaulbee@tompsc.com. Note the town publishes (843) 884-1229 here — that is the Planning Department's main line, not the Building Inspections line (843) 884-5184; the town publishes it this way. This is the only street-light contact the town publishes; there is no separate "street light out" form on the Report a Concern hub, which lists only Blocked Storm Drain, Illegal Dumping, Low Tree Limbs, Pothole and Street Sign Missing. SEPARATE ISSUE — traffic signals: the town publishes that dark or flashing traffic signals are reported to (843) 856-3080 during business hours or to Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch at (843) 743-7200 after hours.

Jim farms seven Mount Pleasant neighborhoods specifically — not “the Charleston area.” That is the whole point of this index: one agent who knows which street floods, which floor plan appraises, and what the last eleven sales actually closed at, because he keeps the record himself.
