It is a US Fish & Wildlife Service refuge boat ramp within Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge; USFWS publishes it as located at the end of Bulls Island Road, Awendaw, with a fishing/crabbing pier, and it is the mainland departure point for Bulls Island.
