It is a US Fish & Wildlife Service refuge boat ramp within Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge; USFWS publishes it as located at the end of Bulls Island Road, Awendaw, with a fishing/crabbing pier, and it is the mainland departure point for Bulls Island. USFWS publishes no street number. This is the closest launch to the Capers Island / Bulls Bay system for boaters coming from Mount Pleasant. Verified 2026-09-04.
