Phone (843) 884-5184. Office hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. The division sits under Engineering & Development Services (Director: Brad Morrison). Adopted codes: "As of January 1, 2023, the 2021 Building Codes have been adopted for enforcement." Permit fees: the town states building permit fees "are based on valuation of construction. Construction valuation is determined by the Building Official, based on the most current Building Valuation Tables, as published by" the ICC, and that fees are set pursuant to Section 150 of the Code of Ordinances. The dollar figures are not printed on the web page — they are in the linked "Fee Schedule-Revised 7.2024" document at tompsc.com/DocumentCenter/View/48948.
