Office hours Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The Division enforces state building codes and municipal ordinances, reviews construction plans, conducts field inspections for residential and commercial projects, issues permits, and issues Certificates of Occupancy or Completion. Payment: the Town accepts VISA or MasterCard through the online portal, and cash and checks (payable to the Town of Mount Pleasant) at the counter. Codes in force since January 1, 2023: the 2021 International Code series with SC amendments (2021 IBC, IRC, IEBC, IFC, IFGC, IMC, IPC), 2020 National Electrical Code, 2009 International Energy Conservation Code, 2017 ICC A117.1, 2021 International Property Maintenance Code (Town Building Code page; adopted by reference at Code of Ordinances § 150.001).
