A property inside Mount Pleasant town limits receives Mount Pleasant's Class 5 / 25%; a property in unincorporated Charleston County receives the County's Class 2 / 40%. Because Mount Pleasant's boundaries are irregular and unincorporated pockets exist nearby, jurisdiction should be confirmed on the parcel, not assumed from a mailing address.
