Charleston County (half-cent Transportation Sales Tax) and the South Carolina State Infrastructure Bank, with SCDOT. Two linked projects that reshaped US 17 through Mount Pleasant. The Johnnie Dodds Boulevard widening covered roughly three miles of US 17 from just north of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge to the south side of the I-526 interchange, including frontage roads and side streets: widened from two to three lanes in each direction, built a new overpass carrying Johnnie Dodds traffic over Bowman Road, and widened Bowman Road to six lanes from Johnnie Dodds Boulevard to Shem Creek. Widening finished January 2013, ahead of a spring 2013 target. The I-526 / Hungryneck Boulevard interchange, funded by the State Infrastructure Bank, added an interchange bridge at Hungryneck Boulevard separating through traffic from I-526 onto Hungryneck and US 17, and widened US 17 to six lanes from Wando Crossing Shopping Center to the new interchange; construction complete January 2013; construction cost $26.7 million. Charleston County's project list records "Johnnie Dodds Blvd Widening" as a completed featured project. NOTE: the Town's /1604 page still reads "Status: Construction ongoing" alongside a January 2013 completion date — the page is stale. The Houston Northcutt intersection was not rebuilt in this work; that is the $230 million item on the proposed 2026 sales tax list. Checked Sept 4, 2026.

Jim farms seven Mount Pleasant neighborhoods specifically — not “the Charleston area.” That is the whole point of this index: one agent who knows which street floods, which floor plan appraises, and what the last eleven sales actually closed at, because he keeps the record himself.
