Shem Creek Bike Lanes on Coleman Boulevard (completed)

Town of Mount Pleasant. Added 4- to 5-foot marked bike lanes on Coleman Boulevard across the Shem Creek bridge between Pelzer Drive and Mill Street, producing over 1.5 miles of continuous bike lanes on Coleman Boulevard from Houston Northcutt Boulevard to Pherigo Street. Design complete May 2023; construction began April 2025 (core work started April 7 to avoid the Cooper River Bridge Run); ribbon cutting held Friday, November 6, 2025. During construction, Coleman Boulevard lane closures were restricted to 7 PM - 6 AM. No cost published. Checked Sept 4, 2026.
