CARTA lists two Park & Ride lots in Mount Pleasant (checked Sept 4, 2026): Walmart at Wando Crossing, 1481 N Hwy 17, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464; and Walmart at Oakland Plantation, 3000 Proprietors Pl, Mount Pleasant, SC 29466. Lots are free for riders and are on private property made available by the businesses, so posted parking rules apply. All Express buses carry bike racks, maximum two bikes on the front of a bus. CARTA publishes that it and the lot occupants assume no liability for vehicles left at these locations. The XP2 Express pairs the Mount Pleasant lots with Citadel Mall in West Ashley (2070 Sam Rittenberg Blvd). CARTA's first permanent, purpose-built park-and-ride lot is on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston, not in Mount Pleasant.
