Town of Mount Pleasant. Phase 1 widened Bowman Road to three lanes from Mathis Ferry Road to near US 17. Phase 2 widened the two-lane road to four lanes with a center turn lane and sidewalks on both sides, from near US 17 to Rifle Range Road. Construction started October 2011 and was complete February 2013. Cost for Phases 1 and 2 combined: $12,000,000 ($8,000,000 federal / $4,000,000 Town). CAUTION: two adjacent Town pages titled "Bowman Road Signal Installation" (/1600) and "Chuck Dawley at Bowman Road Intersection" (/1601) display Billy Swails Boulevard 4B text and figures by error and contain no actual Bowman Road information.
