The Battery do not field a separate academy team that plays a public schedule. What exists is an annual open tryout: a First Team Academy Tryout for ages 15-19 (held Friday, January 9, 2026) and a general Open Tryout for ages 16 and up (Sunday, January 11, 2026, 9 a.m. check-in, $130 registration). Selected players are offered USL Academy contracts, which let a youth player train and appear with the first team while preserving NCAA college eligibility. Selected players are invited back to a closed second tryout day. The club also runs a youth soccer partnership with Soccer Shots and takes youth camp inquiries at info@charlestonbattery.com. There is no Charleston Battery women's team of any level.
