The Town of Mount Pleasant's own notification sign-up is "Notify Me" on the Town website, at https://www.tompsc.com/list.aspx. It is linked from the Town's Emergency Preparedness page, its Hurricane Preparedness page, and its Severe Weather / Hurricane Preparedness page. Subscribers choose news, alert and calendar lists; a website account at tompsc.com/MyAccount/ProfileCreate is offered to "Manage notification subscriptions." The Town publishes emergency updates through its News Flash and Alert Center on the same site, as it did for Tropical Storm Debby in August 2024. The Town publishes no separate emergency-only alert platform; residents relying on Town notifications alone would not receive Charleston County's CHS Alerts, which is a separate sign-up. Checked 2026-09-04. A 2017 Town article referenced a Town app called ConnectMP and a Communications Office number of (843) 884-8517; neither is repeated on the Town's current preparedness pages, so treat the app as unverified.
