Published bya government agency

Charleston County operates an opt-in mass notification system branded "CHS Alerts" and also referred to on county pages as the "Charleston County Citizens Alert Notification System." It runs on Everbridge. The county publishes that it provides "critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closings, missing persons and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods," delivered by "home phone, mobile phone, business phone, emails, text messages and more." Sign-up: https://member.everbridge.net/index/453003085611698#/signup. The county's alert information page is https://www.charlestoncounty.gov/departments/emergency-management/alert-removal.php. Emergency Management: (843) 746-3800; PublicInfo@CharlestonCounty.org. County pages also describe a separate telephone notification system for emergency information. Checked 2026-09-04. Naming is inconsistent across county pages — "Community Alert System," "CHS Alerts," and "Charleston County Citizens Alert Notification System" all appear for what resolves to the same Everbridge sign-up.

Jim farms seven Mount Pleasant neighborhoods specifically — not “the Charleston area.” That is the whole point of this index: one agent who knows which street floods, which floor plan appraises, and what the last eleven sales actually closed at, because he keeps the record himself.
