Spring recreation lacrosse league for boys in grades 1-6, run by Lowcountry Lacrosse. Three divisions: Bantam (grades 1-2, 7v7), Lightning (grades 3-4, 8v8) and Junior (grades 5-6, 10v10). Kindergarteners with experience may play Bantam; 7th-grade beginners not on a JV team may play Junior with approval. USA Lacrosse membership is required for insurance. Cost $275 including jersey ($250 early bird, $300 late). Pre-season fundamental nights in early February, practices from mid-February, regular-season games late February through late March, playoffs in early April and a championship in mid-April. Teams are drafted by coaches; friend and coach requests are not accepted. Lowcountry Lacrosse also operates a gear shop in Mount Pleasant with rentals and starter packages. Contact info@lowlax.com.
