Charleston Collegiate School

Independent (non-religious) school, age 3 through grade 12. NOT in Mount Pleasant — it sits on Johns Island, on the opposite side of the Charleston peninsula, roughly a 45-60 minute drive from most of Mount Pleasant. Included because it was on the verify list. Tuition is charged. Programs the school advertises: project-based learning, outdoor education using a 30+ acre campus, arts and creativity, entrepreneurship, an internship program, Winterim, and college counseling. Athletics: 29 teams across fall, winter and spring; competes in SCISA Region 2A; the school states 85% of students play at least one sport.
