Phone 843-884-2727. The major museum physically in Mount Pleasant, on Charleston Harbor. Museum open daily 10am-5pm; the ticket window closes at 4pm; the Ship Store is open daily 9am-5pm. General admission includes self-guided access to the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown (CV-10), the destroyer USS Laffey, 27 aircraft, the Vietnam Experience Exhibit and the Medal of Honor Museum. Online/advance admission: Adults ages 13-61 $28; Children ages 6-12 $23; Seniors ages 65+ $25. Complimentary admission, available at the ticket window only: children ages 5 and under free, and active-duty military with current Military ID free. Tickets are non-refundable, not date-specific, and valid for one-time use within one year of purchase. Paid add-ons beyond general admission: Simulator Ride $10/person, Virtual Reality Ride $11/person, Simulator and VR bundle $19/person; scavenger hunt picked up at the USS Yorktown information desk, $3; a $20 upgrade tour; the Admiral's Tour, 90 minutes, ages 12 and up, $40/person, general admission not included; and an after-hours tour of normally restricted areas of the Yorktown. Membership is $85 and gives free year-round admission for the member plus a guest. Parking is not included in admission and is run separately by Palmetto Parking: $5.50 per hour with a $25.00 maximum daily rate, excluding credit card service fees; the parking lot is reached via Patriots Point Road through the traffic circle, then right onto Club House Road. Patriots Point is a Blue Star Museum and sponsors the Charleston County Public Library summer reading program, with a reward for readers who finish the child, teen or adult program. It is also one of the two ferry departure points for Fort Sumter.
